Broad sourcing and export logistics consolidation to save serious costs
It is often the case that export and shipping logistics costs can add significant overhead to the value of exported parts and components. What is the point of saving a few cents on product costs if the additional costs of LCL logistics erase those savings.
Industrial fasteners and related categories constitute hundreds of related product standards, and literally hundreds of thousands of individual part numbers. Add in custom requirements for dimensions, mechanical properties and surface coatings, and the number of product possibilities is almost endless. Not surprisingly, no single manufacturing organization is able to internally produce even a large subset of fastener standards.
In terms of international shipping, the lowest cost unit of goods transportation is the standard 20 or 40-foot shipping container. Accordingly, most of our clients aim to package a range of fastener specifications into one or many whole shipping containers to save cost.
JC Grand is able to leverage its externally-threaded screw manufacturing, with strong outside sourcing and supply chain integration in other related industrial components, to consolidate into whole shipping containers and reduce costs for our clients.
